Dormitory Evil: Biol-hazard (part1)

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

So why exactly is the blog post title goes that way? well, let’s just say that we experienced total survivor horror since we arrievd to our dormitory a few days back. An experience similar to that of Resident Evil only minus the biohazardous zombies and the mutants wanting us dead- biol (a malay term used for douschy, f-ed up or dumbass personality) only security guards and wardens wanting us out.

Thus begins our story- our horror- our survival- Dormitory Evil: Biol-hazard…

Thursday- Dec 27th, 2007
1400-1430
I arrived to the dormitory compound without alerting the security guard. After i finished securing all my luggages, i waited for Adam’s arrival. We are to randezvous at block 4’s lvl4- our old hang out spot..

1430-1700
Shifting our stuff all the way from block 4 to block 5 was indeed bone breaking. Adam brought reinforcemet for the first hour but the backup unit was on a deadline. Unfortunately the deadline arrived just after we finished shifting half of adam’s stuff. Thus, it means that we have to carry the remains all on our own. Finding room for ourselves was just as tough. First up, we attempt to find the dorm level with least PISMP seniors (and we also found out another group senior known as the PPPREPT.. wonders if its the same people) so that there’ll be enough rooms in the house for other TESL Cohort 5 students. We even reached a breaking point where we cant decide on which level that we ended up brain jammed in block 4’s common room. Seriously, it sucked. Finaly we decided on level 4 which was not exactly our first choice either. However, on our next trip to block 1 (yep, we were still transferring our luggages to block and it was only done 60%), we met Madam Fatimah, warden of block 4 and we asked her on how should we be booking our rooms. She told us to ask aisamuddin to book dorm levels based on courses. True enough, level 5 and level 7 will be our TESL Cohort 5 headquarters. Which means that we wont need to fight with the seniors for rooms. Guess that its the peacefulmost way of all.

1700-1930
But that good news came with a bit of a price. Now that we actually finished transferring 60% of our luggage to lvl4, we had to reshift them to lvl 5 and although its just a floor of difference, the job took longer than we expected. In all, we made around 6 trips to and fro block4 and block1. Even so, the job finished at around 1830 hours and we went for a lil dinner in Amjal.. a victory dinner to be exact and we had no idea what’s coming up next…

2030-2230
We came back from dinner and we decide to clean things up abit for our settlement and tht involves abit of furniture shifting. It didnt took that long and neither does it energy consuming- after all, we had just recharged ourselves with dinner. On top of that, we cant wait to settle in. True enough, the room wasn that bad in the end. We make perfect copy of 402A(e) room and things are starting to settle down and block 1 is starting to feel like our home.. i mean; dorm again.

2230-2330
And thus comes the threat for our existence in block1- the wardens. As we were just coming out of the room, the warden came to us and there’s no way we could have stopped their ambush. At first, i thought it would be a friendly one. Perhaps, simply asking on what are we doing here and all but just then, madam hamidah (aka. the biggest recent @##$%%$#$##$$%^#$^%@!$$# i ever met so far) start things off by asking on who the hell allow us to reside in this block at this time. I ended up doing most of the resistance as these primitive beings seems to understand my malay language.. as much as it was fascinating, it was also dreadful indeed. According to them, we are not allowed to stay in dorms during holidays. I shielded ourselves with the reason on us coming early was so that we can book rooms in our new dorm and block shifting is time consuming. I even reinforced my resistance that it was madam fatimah who encouraged us to choose our rooms. Yet, i misjudged their tolerance ability aside to that surprising mental capabilities. The warden simply accused us of using madam fatimah ways and she insisted that we shall leave TONIGHT. THeir tolerence level is obviously low as they dont even bother asking us on where our hometowns are- they just keep insisting that we clear it out that night and that night only. In contrast to my early conception, their mental capabilities are just as low as they keep claiming that we need to stick with the dorm protocol. Hmm.. I thought the protocol was to keep students safe. If we get kicked out like that and ended up hit by a lorry or something- isnt that already agaisnt the protocol. Like i said, the prtocol was to safe the students from harm- not saving the dorm’s image from harm- and this strictly potrays that these life forms are extremely savage, inhumane and of course, stupid. Nonetheless, our resistance proves powerless and we managed to convince them to let us stay for at least until next morning. This fragile excuse made the wardens less hostile and they left us, thankfully.

2330
The clearing out idea was okay with me but i doubt it will be the same with adam. So we decided on instead of leaving, we shall try to remain dormant til we get more reinforcements- and that means, getting madam fatimah to do the convince madam hamidah that she allow us to stay. Furthermore, by tomorrow, more IPBArians might be back from their holidays and with more reinforcement, our wall of resistance might still hold a lil longer and a little longer is more than enough..

Thus begins our story- our horror- our survival…

Same number, same guy, BRAND NEW PHONE!!

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

Delaqroux Inc Update and we’re finally reconnected to the world of mobile technology **crowd applauses**

Well, just a quick recap on what exactly occured on my old hand phone, my trusty Sony Ericsson k700i (..yeah, in memories). Just a day before Aidilfitri, i got pickpocketed while i’m on my way home in the bus. So, i got a temporary phone from my mom which turned out to be a mere Nokia 2100 (really old model! the screen is not even colored!!) before i can manage to save up enough cash for a new phone. A month later, i was victimized by another pickpocketer while i was on the train! Dude, seriously, i’m bring a cheap phone here and you wanna gobble that up as well? Sheesh, what with today’s pickpocketers??

And thus begins my who two month of life without a mobile phone. Yep, it was torturing. Of course, a mobile phone is a gadget in which most (well, maybe all) teenagers cant live with and that’s helluva pain to not being able to contact your buddies and moreover, we were on a long holiday. You can bet it was one long and lonesome hols for me. Yep, me got my laptop and my net connection handy but still, not all of my friends are on the net this hols so yep, i was in a case of MIA for them. I dont know how i even survived this holidays… Must be a Christmas miracle. lolz

Oh wait, did i say "survived"? Yep, its a a past tense now baby!! I finally got enough to buy a new phone. And guess what? It’s bigger (well, not really bigger.. the new phone has a more compact design compared to my old one), badder and  best of all, better!! yep, it’s Sony Ericsson K810i and i got it for 850 bucks. Not bad a deal aye. Still, it drove me straight to penny-less palooza with that price tag. Anyways, if anyone even think of stealing this new phone from me, i think i’ll start bringing guns around and start shooting anyone that have a phone in their pocket!

January 2008 Eat-out places (’cont)

Monday, December 24th, 2007

A blessed soul came up with this list for public assistance. God bless him! **tears streaming out of eyes**

1. CHOW KOAY TIEW - Jalan Imbi : the corner restaurant which is on the same row with Sakura, and opposite of Honda Kah Motor.

2. WANTAN MEE/KARI MEE - End of old Subang airport road, in the Subang New Village Town Centre.

3. TAPIOCA NOODLES& VEGETABLES - Old Klang Road : a shack which is nestled behind a chinese primary school, after the market and the post office (which would be on your left).

4. KARI MEE (LEMAK) - SS1, PJ : Alisan Restaurant (2nd shop from corner), facing the Lorenzo Furniture Shop.

5. ROAST DUCK RICE - Seapark : Sunrise Coffee Shop

6. PRAWN MEE/KARIMEE/CHEE CHEONG FUN - Seapark : Coffee Shop near old Paramount Theatre.

7. PAN MEE - Along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman behind Kah Motors.

8. HOKKIEN MEE - Petaling Street opposite Hong Leong Bank

9. CHAR SIEW RICE - Jalan Tung Shin

10. NASI KANDAR - Kayu Nasi Kandar Restaurant in Taipan, Subang with a branch in SS2 a coffee shop formerly known as Cheow Yang

11. Teh Tarik & roti - Taman Desa next to the water tank

12. If money is not an issue - Madam Kwan (Nasi Lemak & curry fish head)

13. Little Penang (chow Koay Tiew & Prawn mee)

14. Bak kut teh - Jalan Imbi behind hong leong bank

15. Satay - Naan Corner in Ampang, in between International School and RSPCA, called Nur Satay.

16. Banana Leaf - Kannas in SS2, behind Lisa De Inn hotel.

17. Nasi Lemak - Suzi corner, next to Ampang city (used to be called Kerris)

18. Won Ton Mien/Char Siew - Jln Sungai Besi; on the way to PLUS. Only open at 7pm-2am, a car repair shop by day.

19. Beef Brisket noodles - Tengkat Tong Shin; runs parallel to Jalan Alor. Stall near the beginning of the road. Open at night till late.

20. Char Siew/Chicken rice - Tengkat Tong Shin; further up the road. Old prewar shop house. This has to be the drop dead unhealthiest piece of anything you can insert in your mouth in KL? but to die for. Chicken is strictly as filler to make sure you don’t get a heart attack overdosing on char siew.

21. Fish balls - Tengkat Tong Shin; a little further up the road from char siew. Stall inside a coffee shop. This guy is good, look at the amount of people he employs to helpout!

22. Hokkien mee (KL style - thick, black, yummy (sounds kinky) Petaling Street; at the intersection opposite Hong Leong Bank. Full of porcine goodness. Still the gold standard of Hokkien mee.

23. Seafood noodles - Segambut; near Auto Bavaria. A big bowl full of noodles and assorted mussels, prawns, cuttlefish, fish etc. for reasonable price. Pick of soup, clear, tom yam, curry. Forget the rest, or for the curry. Soya bean with cincau not bad. Avoid on Sunday mornings. You will wait for an hour. Fried Chicken Rice (only on Weds and Sat)!! There is a branch now open in SS2 Chow Yang, called Restoran Yu Ai with yellow sign board, just a few doors away from Kayu Nasi Kandar.

24. Ploughman’s Lunch ? Finnegan’s Seri Hartamas. A big plate filled with a pot of pate, slices of ham, pickle, onion, chunks of cheese, a slab of butter, 4 hunks of bread. If you are EXTREMELY hungry, this one’s for you.

25. Chef’s salad - Flagz; behind Souled Out. This salad is as all salads should be - crunchy FRESH veggies, and the dressing is to diefor. Easily the best salad in town. And I don’t even like salad. Beer is the ! freshest in town too, great bite.

26. Hokkien Mee (Penang style otherwise known as Prawn noodles) Champ’s; Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru. Standard gone down somewhat recently, but still head and shoulders above all others in KL. You’ll have to go to Penang to beat this.

27. Char Kway Teow Bukit Damansara; behind Hock Lee supermarket, next to Shell. Corner stall inside coffee shop. Best in KL. The fellow has been frying for longer than I can recall, and he is so good that you may have to wait up to 45 minutes during lunch time. Doesn’t use too much oil almost perfect. As above, you’ll have to go to Penang to beat this. Other stalls in the same shop not bad.

28. Chicken rice Jalan Gasing; very close to the Federal Highway, same row as Southern Bank 2 shops one in the middle, one in the corner. Can’t decide which is superior, but both are very good. Middle one has Ipoh taugeh.

29. Bak Kut Teh Klang, just about anywhere. Hokkien Association off the main highway leading to the heart of Klang is a good place to start for beginners.

30. Dim Sum ? Marriott Hotel. Chinese restaurant here serves northern China style dim sum. Easily best dim sum in town. A little pricey.

31. Fish head off Jalan Sungai Besi; just past Won Ton Mien, turn left right after BP. Three shops clumped together. All look dilapidated but don’t worry. Don’t know what type of fish they get their heads from, but I suspect fresh water fish. Hot sauce fish head to die for. Extremely reasonable prices.

32. Bak Kut Teh Segambut; go past Auto Bavaria, follow road all the way until you see a Chinese temple on your left. Enter the temple courtyard and you will see a tin shack where they serve bak kut teh. Not quite up there with Klang, but nothing to sneeze at… Go for yam rice rather than white rice. Fried Chicken Rice (only on Weds and Sat)!!

33. Nasi Kandar/Kerabu/Laut Taman Tun; the other end of Secret Recipe in a store on the same block, usually with a van outside. Truly Kelantanese style. Only in the morning though…

34. Seafood ? Pulau Carey; get to Jalan Banting and follow signs to Pulau Carey. Place called Kang Guan, just before the actual bridge onto the island. Cheap!

35. Nasi Lemak TangLin at Lake Gardens, near the Clinic/Hospital. Only open when government depts open.

39. Chicken rice - Bing Restaurant in Sri Rampai. Wait till you drop to eat the chicken rice. Worth it.

Still need your help out on this out. Hit me back asaP!

Calling out all January ‘08 Outspot!

Monday, December 24th, 2007

The lines which i kept calling them back out to myself recently; "Fuck me and my big big mouth" Nice way to start off a blog post aye? Anyways, Delaqroux Inc Updates!

Just recently (or to be specific, after the end of our foundation year final exam), i’ve been promising people alot of irrelevant dates. Okay, maybe "datings" is not the right word. I’ll go for "outings" to be more anti-Delaqroux-people-friendly. Yeah, outings. Apparently, i do recall my big mouth claiming that "hey, tell you what; how bout we all go out for some group outing next year when IPBA reopens?" and "hey, we still have next year. Lets go out the time IPBA reopens!" Lucky for my mouth and my little naive trust on faith and friendship, the only answers i get was something that goes "ok, but you decide where la k?" Riiiight.. Oh well, when you promised something, the fun part is to make sure you stick by it. After all, i do feel like celebrating new year with IPBArians, celebrating December and January-born IPBA ladies and gentlemen and, if possible, last outing (at least for me) my Cohort 4 buddies’ departure… Maybe a nice kickass outing can celebrate everything up all at once eh? No shit, Darkie, you sure dream big… Anyways, onwards to the internet and KL outing place surveying!!

Yep, for now, i set the date on 17th January onwards. First up, early January will be too chaotic with the year one registration and all. Moreover, i bet them CG must have planned some new year stuff as well and i dont wanna end up clashing with them. Thirdly, CLOVERFIELD!! Whoo! Yep, one helluva 2008 movie kickstarter! So, all i need now is an eating place with possible-enough route to a nearby cineplex.. hmmm…. Oh yeah, for now, i’m still planning this all up by my own. Maybe i’ll get the rest of the battalion for reinforcements.

Yes, the closest place with eating place available with the best proximity to a cineplex is, yep, Midvalley. But, its getting a lil old. Of course, MidValley shall be the final plan B. In the meantime, anyone have any suggestions on a food place close to a cineplex? Hit me asap!

Dear Santa,

Monday, December 24th, 2007

Dear Santa,
this is my first letter to you, i hope you dont mind,
ecspecially the fact that i stopped believing you since i was nine,
but here i am, begging a little bit of your time,
just a sec or two, i need someone to hear me whine.

Dear Santa,
i’m not supposed to be here and to write you this,
coz i’m muslim- and we’re not to believe in things that do not exist,
but how do they expect me to resist all this,
tryna be good old year but i get scorns as my gifts,

Dear Santa,
they see me as walking with something evil,
but i’m not, i’m just walking with somethin that’s real,
how am i supposed to tell them how i feel,
how am i supposed to close this case with a strong seal,
and make them stop telling me like this is all a big deal?
Why? is this demand is too much of an appeal?
i’m just a boy with friends whose difference that i dont care,
so why is all my friends similar to me couldnt stop but stare?
i’m just a friend trying to provide all the same share,
i’m just a friend trying to live a life that i can bear.

So, Santa, if you can hear me out, then i no longer need to shout,
pls give them something about me that they can be proud about,
give them eyes so they can see what they should
and realize that everything was all misunderstood.
Lastly, Santa,
i’d love it if you make this our secret, dont tell anyone about this,
like i said, i’m not supposed to belief in things that dont exist,
but, i can no longer tell which is real nor which are just plain myths,
maybe it’s best if i just dont… coz they say ignorance is the bliss.

Yours truly,
Dark A. Delaqroux

Something gigantic this way comes!

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007

Delaqroux Inc. Updates and its nearing Christmas and also, the closing of 2007. Yep, 2008 shall be a hell of a year to look forward to. And by me, using the metaphorical word "hell" would surely bring the meaning "helluva hell".

Regardless, to start things off, me and Adam just found out that 2008 gonna be kicking of some kickass giant movies.. literally. First of all, there will be Cloverfield. It isnt exactly a movie with that title- in fact, the exact title of the movie is still remain a secret to director JJ Abrams, the man in charge of directing the ever cool series LOST. In any case, the movie sint exactly a movie at all. JJ Abrams tries to potray how human beings of today’s world witness all the horrors in front of their eyes and share it to the world via uploading them on, for say, Youtube for example. THat is precisely the effect JJ Abrams will be using. The movie will take form of a video record by a group of people in NYC when the city was under turmoil when a mythical creature (told to be Cloverfield aka. a USA Godzilla) rose up from the waters and cause destruction throughout the city. Yeah, yet another end-of-the-world movie but this time, with a twist; the whole movie will be taken from a first person perspective of a camera guy. Expect a lot unknown screamings, hand shaking, random runnings and yes, heart pounding as u ‘found’ and watch this video record all from the eye of the person who survived the horror (ok, survive onot; i’m not so sure yet). Check out the two trailers on youtube and the exclusive 5 min clip from the movie and you’ll get precisely what i mean.

Next will be Rebuild of Evangelion! Thats right anime fans worldwide, the biggest history of perspective-on-life changing anime is back! The movie will centers around the early episodes of the movie when Shinji, the (yeah, emo) protagonist was called by his own father, after leaving him to survive on his own for almost 10 years, to pilot earth last defense line; EVA001. Yep, after the First impact incident when Adam descended from the heavens on the antartic and self destruct upon making contact with another life form known as Lilith, leaving half the world’s population extinct, the NERV organisation manage to recover the remnants of Adam and captured (by crucifying) the other life form, code named LIlith (if i’m not mistaken, Lilith was the like the second God’s creation before Eva, according to Christianity. However, Lilith have pride of her own and refuse to serve Adam and the future sons of Adam.. correct me if i’m wrong here) with the Lance of Longitude (another Biblical stuff which i’m not so sure what it is) and prepared ‘clones’ of Adam in form of giant humanoid robots, codename EVA. So who are they fighting with? More mysterious life forms descending upon earth from God knows where, known as the Angels to make contact with the remnants of Adam thus, causing the Second Impact…… ohkaaaay… i dont think i’m making sense here and i’m not quite sure whether am i actually telling sypnosis of the right stuff here… let’s say; God calls down the Armageddon but human survived it. So, God get pissed and send Angels to redo the Armageddon and human resist even more. @#$$%#$!!! I dunno how to explain thsi!! Ok, go watch for yourself.. Be warned though; if you’re a strong worshipper of Christianity, this movie might not be right for you. It gives the idea that what we believe all thsi while may not actually be what we believe it is. Get my point?

There’s still more delicious movies outthere. I’ll cover them up later aye? Chow!

Web Hosting Dillema

If you’re not aware of Freewebs, well its a community site where you can open up a website of your own for free. of course they have their paid packages with more control and features but seriously, the free package sucks!!

Well, i planned to move my blog to someother place. Friendster’s blog is okay but i want to try hitting up more international audience. No point if only my friends are reading my blog (they’re not exactly even giving feedbacks that i want as well). I wanna voice out in a more open and international environment where readers are ppl who i never even know them. So, these ppl are free to voice out whatever they think of my perception. Well, thats a real blogging experience then. And if i’m lucking, maybe would want to try an evolutionary blogging called vlogging (short for video log)- instead of writing to deliver my blog, i record them in audio or video form.

But the issue now is, where should i host the new blog?? The most famous one is of course, at blogger.com. But i hate the layout! And its not really that flexible summore- limited tools, control and yes, fugly layout. I’m familiar with freewebs.com but lately, freewebs changed. The free package suck hardtime!! What else of blog site do you know out there? Please, i seriously need feedback on this one. THanks.

Tyranny of ME

Sunday, December 16th, 2007

Delaqroux Inc. Updates and just this afternoon, i destroyed dad’s lil laboratory… Mwahahahah! Ok, its not really ‘destroying’ and its not really a ‘laboratory’ as well. Just that this afternoon, me and my parents were busy clearing up the house downstairs.

And believe me; when i say clearing up, i mean; clearing up MY WAY.

Apparently, the house downstairs were previously used as a half store room and half lab (some biological research from dad used to be carried out there). These days, the lab has been abandoned. Dad dont seemed to be using that lab anymore (he has another lab someplace else unfortunately) and everytime we asked him to clear up that lab of his, the result were simply a few things moved here and there. No big chances. His excuse; he might still need to do all those stuff.

But this time around, Dark A. Delaqroux oso turun padang and yep, i’m doing it my way. Apart from clearing up the lab, we oso cleared up the front lawn (halaman depan.. its that what they call itin English btw?) Believe me, its hell! Literally, the lawn was full of plants which my dad took hobby of planting them. When he was all of that crappy hype of gardening, he’ll monitor those plants like they’re somekind of tiny uranium resources- super extreme close monitoring. And when he gets a new hobby (aka. starting up that crappy lab), the lawn is abandoned. And its some freaking hell jungle out there!

Funny how the lawn and the lab was supposed to be cleared up almost five years ago and my dad never actually did clear it up properly- and i cleared it for two hours. BEAT THAT! And seriously, mom and dad are hopeless in clearing things up! they keep on going something like :

Mom: "ni nak letak mana ar?"
Dad: **no answer**
Mom: "ha?"
Dad: **very low frequency answer.. hardly hearable**
Mom: "ha???"
Dad: "kejap ar tengah pikir"

and they go like that all freakin hour! Finally, i had it with their want-to-throw-or-keep-questions and where-to-put-ha-questions and i go like "shut up and listen to MY order". Ok, wasnt really using that phrase (but, it would be awesome if i was) but i practically took charge. Most of the stuff were to be terminated and no objection! (even if there was one, oh, do you mistook me by someone who practices democracy?) lolz. Wakaakkakakaka!! the awesomeness!!

In all, me ROX! Wakakaka (what a way to end a blog post aye?)

Boredom is enjoyment masquerading as humbleness…

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

Just recently, i felt like updating my blog.. only to come to realization that i dont have any stories to tell… Been hanging out in plain old KL for everyday this holiday and not much happened. And no happenings, means no blog posts and no blog posts means no publicity… And to think that other ppl are enjoying their life this hols and me.. **sigh**

Anyways, jz gonna make a whole clean, boring update on whatever i am doing this hols.. that is, if you can consider those as "doing something".. Well, but behind this monitor and finger on keyboard, whichever boring story can still be masqueraded under the veil of utter enjoyment and not to mention, omission of boring truth to make tales appeal thrilling.. so here goes; DELAQROUX INC UPDATES

This hols, i… **thinking**.. i uh.. **still thinking** played Diablo2 and hell, am i becoming good at it! Leveled up to lvl30 and yep, guess i’ll be on for the face off with Adam’s lil insignificant amazon and Daryl’s dumb druid! lololololz. And yep, i made a discover that my laptop can be connected with streamyx without even using a router! Thus, i have gained access to online games and recently, i’ve been playing this Tales of Pirates games… hmm.. not that bad. Ragnarok styled with hell lotsa islands and option. I think, fans of one piece will find this game pretty good. **thinks** now what else.. hmmm.. still on my old habit of sleeping from 6am to 12am everyday- spend the whole night online. Guess not much of improvement there but hey, made a new buddy on msn! And guess who it is.. **drumrolls** SAW NANCIE!!!

**crowd goes silent**

ahem.. well, to tell you the truth; its been awhile since i actually became close to someone of the same age with mine… yet again, i’m starting to believe myself to be among those 1988 born ppl already.. oh well, i’m still the senior and she’s still the junior. Still can buli ‘budak kecik’ even if you’re same age what? Its all in the social class. w00t! (Note: nancie, if you’re reading this; well… you can kill me once ipba reopens ok?). So.. uhh.. made hell lotsa stencils, just waiting for a nice wall to be tagged and some plain Tshirt supply to arrive and my lil secret project shall begin shortly.. BWAHAHAHAHAH **thunder roars**

Finally, i am still without any new handphones with me. Maybe i’ll just wait a lil more while for k850i. Its a long shot that might end up with dissapointemnt (k850i it’s a freakin’ cool new mod so i doubt that price will go down that fast) but, well, the wait might be worthwhile…

Malaysian Music Industries????

Friday, December 7th, 2007

Before i start things off, to all Celcom Xpax users and fans of Indonesian band Peter Pan, this blog post might be slightly offending. Thus, beforehand, i shall offer you my greatest apology…

On the other hand, SCREW IT!! If you friggin’ find this offending, then you’re obviously an oversensitive brat! I dont care! And i know better coz i’m an oversensitive brat and Celcom jz pisses me off! So, Celcom, eat this update….

Apparently, i’m a big fan of Pop Shuvit and i think, one of the best song Pop Shuvit ever came up with is the "Football Mad Nation" with Disagree. If i’m not mistaken the song was a hit during the last FIFA world cup and at that time, hearing Singye, an MTCP participant from Burma (if i’m not mistaken.. sorry bro ^^;;) playing that on his phone over and over make me think that our Malaysian Indie Music Industries might actually make it international.

And oh yeah, it went international alright. The song was then sung in another version by PeterPan, which i dont really mind. However, Celcom has been giving PeterPan so much publicity over that song as if PeterPan was the original band that came up with the song- not PopShuvit and Disagree! If you dont believe me, check out some local radio stations where callers kept on calling and saying, "Hey, i love the Indonesian band Peterpan, can you play me Football Mad Nation BY PeterPan?" Duh! This really proves that people are now knowing that song by PeterPan and not its original singers!! I know that PeterPan is such a well known band over Malaysia and Indonesia, of course, and Pop Shuvit might not be as famous- but, hey, why giving so much support on another foreign band even if that band is singing our local made song? Where’s our support on our own Malaysian Music Industries.

Show some love, "support our local Malaysian Music Industries" [Jason Lo, Disagree, Flop Poppy, Pop Shuvit, OAG, One Buck Short, Hujan, Too Phat, Mawar Berduri, Spider etc etc, 2000- up til now]
